Here are some frequently asked questions we receive at CCW Outfitters by bowhunters planning their trophy whitetail deer hunts. Please contact us with your questions or comments anytime.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept? A: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, personal or business checks, money orders, cashiers checks, and always cash.
Q: Do I need to pay for my hunt in advance? What about a down-payment on my future hunt? A: 50% deposit required to hold a date. All balances due in September of the hunt year.
Q: If I pay for a hunt in full and then have to cancel, can I get my money back? A: We do not 'refund' deposits or fully paid hunts, but we will be happy to reschedule for any dates that you wish.
Q: Am I guaranteed to shoot a trophy buck at CCW Outfitters? A: Absolutely NOT. We are a fair chase operation NO HIGH FENCES and are archery only.
Q: When does the archery deer season start in the Marion, KY area? A: Early September through Mid January
Q: Am I allowed to bring my dog with me when I stay at CCW Outfitters? A: No.
Q: Is archery equipment sold at CCW Outfitters? A: No. There is an archery shop located 9 miles from the lodge and Paducah KY is located 45 miles from the lodge with a Gander Mountain, as well as 4-5 other large sporting good stores and archery dealers.
Q: Can I use a crossbow at CCW Outfitters? A: Yes, we have many weeks of crossbow season, and for older or disabled archers, there is a permit that can be signed by a doctor that enables the archer to hunt any of the archery season with a crossbow.
Q: Are alcoholic beverages allowed while staying at CCW Outfitters? A: Only in the evenings after the hunt is over.
Q: Are taxidermy services offered at CCW Outfitters? A: We have taxidermist available locally if the hunter desires.
Q: What's the fall weather usually like in KY? A: Early fall HOT, mid fall early winter MILD, December/January can be mild to Arctic. Hunters should check the weather a week to a few days prior to arrival and be prepared. You can't kill a deer while sitting in the lodge. Bring gear for all weather conditions.
Q: How many deer can I take at CCW Outfitters? A: KY is a one buck state for residents and non residents. Hunters may also take a doe if the CCW Outfitters doe quota has not been met for the season.
Q: Do I need to bring my own towels and linen when staying at the lodge? A: CCW Outfitters lodge is like a first class hotel. Towels, linens, food, and beverage is all provided. Feel free to bring your own scent free soaps and shampoos.
Q: Can I bring my family with me when I hunt at CCW Outfitters? A: If the lodge is not fully booked, non hunting guests may stay for $125 per night which includes lodging and meals.
Q: I have a Bad Boy Buggy and my friend has an ATV. Can we bring them with us to CCW Outfitters? A: Do to insurance reasons we are not able to allow hunters to bring/use their own ATV, UTV. |
